Love what I do

As I got  to VBS this morning a little girl name Karen said that she had forgotten to bring a picture she drew for me. During the 6pm service she went to church and took her mom(which has never gone to church) and give me this drawing. I was imagine she drew me.SWEET!
On the other side of the paper its saids "to rosita from karen. i love you." she made me cry.
just wanted to show it off... love what I do!

VBS: El Millon Day 1 and Day 2crats

Second week of VBS and boy are we tired! This week we had VBS in El Millon and Jesus Carranza joined us.First day we had a end total of 90 and the second day we had 97 kids. We are having fun with the kids even if our bodies are not wanting to go along. This VBS is very different from Riveras because I knows these kids. Its funny to see these kids and see that they are not so little anymore. Funny how two years ago they were participating in VBS and are now helping in VBS. Funny how last year I had one kids in the youngest group and now he is in the adolescents. Funny how now my own daughter is now participating in VBS. Time goes on but the love I have for these kids continue.
I mean honestly look at them, they are beautiful!

Parade in El Millon/Jesus Carranza

This pass Sunday we kicked off VBS week in El Millon/Jesus Carranza. We went to the street inviting kids to VBS this week. Church members from all three churches were there. We had all 3 church vans and truck decorated. We had music loud and people having a good time. Who said being a Christian is boring? Here are some pictures of this day.

Kiela- Did not give up. She walked 2 hours playing the drums.

Someone prayed

These three boys are Oscar, Luis Felipe and Victor Manuel.
On the first day of VBS they were named our "most wanted" kids.
They would hit the younger kids, they would call girls names and would even cruse at us.
We started to pray for them in the beginning of every VBS service.
Every time I would want to take a picture of them they would turn around.
They would never smile, it seems like they dislike everything.
Today they came very different. They behave well and even sang the song they practice with the group. They are really good kids just don't get the attention from their parents.
This picture was taken at the end because they ask me if I was going to take them a picture. And to top everything off, when they got on the church van they said they were actually going to miss me. what?!? only God could do that!
I will continue to pray for them, and I know I will see them again!

This is why I love VBS!

last day of VBS: Riveras

Here are some pictures of today on our last day of VBS in Riveras. Today we had a total of 160 children and over 40 adults including parents of the kids. Today we had a service were all four groups participated in a song that they learned all week. We had a great week! we ended with a food fest. We gave hot dogs , chips, popcorn, lollipop, punch and a Popsicle.
We sent out an invite to the parents of the kids to come to the Sunday service were the kids will one more time perform their song.
Thanks for praying for us this week.... next week El Millon/Jesus Carranza

This little girl loved being carried, she would not move from where she was if someone didn't carry her. Her name was lupita and she was 5 years old. When we asked her, "Does your mom carry you alot at home?", she said "no, my mom never carry's me". She wanted everyone to carry her all the time.
This is why we did this, for this little girl. One week she was able to act like a little girl, have people carry her around.
Isn't she a cutie!

This is Sister Lidia carring her around...she only has two boys so she adopted her for the week.
